Introduction
Professional Profile

Pour another cup of decaf, make yourself comfortable, adjust your screen resolution, and get ready to e-view the contents of my e-Portfolio to discover how my personal and professional experiences have prepared me to join a team of IT professionals. The Résumé link in the right navigation bar details my academic preparation and technical qualifications. I am confident that I can make a positive and immediate contribution to your organization and by applying my highly-developed information technology skills, I will be a value-added employee. The Contribution section provides links to projects that demonstrate application of my IT skills.

An articulate communicator, I am equally comfortable in group dynamics or individual dialog. I establish positive, working relationships with co-workers, corporate partners, management, and the business community. I enjoy researching business information and presenting it in a professional format and pride myself on my highly-developed document editing and proofreading skills. In the Communication section, I have provided links to samples of my technical writing as well as an audio clip of my final Internship Presentation.

One might consider my "work until it works" coding attitude an obsession, but I prefer to think of it as "enjoying an academic challenge." "It simply can't be done," is no longer an option; instead, I believe that innovative approaches lead to workable solutions. In the Innovation section are samples of projects that have progressed from class projects to real-world applications. Group projects were a conduit for developing, applying, and assessing the interpersonal and communication skills required for effective leadership, facilitation, and teamwork. As team learning focuses on enhancing collective potential, I learned the value of drawing on the diversity of knowledge, ideas, and skills that members of my work group were able to bring from their personal and professional experiences. The Reflective section chronicles my experiences as a leader, facilitator, and team builder.

During my academic experience, I selected Diana Kokoska, a faculty in the CIS program, as my professional mentor and through her academic and personal guidance, I have had the opportunity to establish a professional network where I share experiences with professionals in my field. The letters of recommendation that I have included in the Recommendation section describe me as a "mature, dedicated individual who is committed to personal and professional achievement".
